About Me, Dr. Bud Loveall

I’ve joked for years that being born with the last name of Loveall carries with it a certain responsibility. And, while it makes for some fun and interesting conversations, there is also truth in that statement which has led me on this wonderful path of helping us all to fully connect with the depths of our sexuality.

I grew up on the east coast of the U.S. in Picture of Dr. Bud Loveallthe 1960’s and 70’s, basically the only child of a single mother. I saw firsthand many of the challenges that women, especially non-partnered women, face in our society. Things like having to have a male co-signer to get a mortgage, or how some men would ignore women in conversations, or treat them solely as sex objects. I resonated with many feminist ideologies and see part of my role as a man is to support the empowerment of women.

Over the years, I explored various aspects of love and sexuality, both for my own sexual expression and as a way to more deeply understand (and support) women. As my knowledge and experiences grew, I expanded my awareness beyond my white, male, cis-gendered, heterosexual, monogamous, vanilla, and binary gender perspectives to see the need for support of all genders, all sexual orientations, all relationship styles and all sexual expression.

I graduated from the renowned Institute for Advanced Study of Human Sexuality in San Francisco with a Doctor in Human Sexuality (DHS) degree and certification as a Clinical Sexologist. In addition, I’ve taken over 1400 hours of various sex, relationship, communication and personal growth training over the past 25+ years.

I see my role as a sexologist is to support everyone – women, men, and non-binary gender – in having their most enjoyable, healthy, and fulfilling sexual life. This includes not just specifically sexual concerns, but also relationship and personal growth issues.

It’s important to note that I am not a therapist. While our work together may be therapeutic (for both of us!), it is not therapy. I do not diagnose problems nor work to “fix” you into some form of whatever is considered “normal.” We work together to help you get to wherever you want to go. There is no judgment as to your sexual orientation, sexual fantasies, preferred relationship styles or sexual expression.

I look forward to working with you. Please contact me here to set up a free, introductory call.

All the best,
